In premarital counseling, you will learn valuable skills that prove useful in laying the groundwork for a successful marriage that has the potential to actually last for the rest of your life!

You will:

  • Improve your communication skills
  • Explore your strengths and weakness
  • Learn how to love one another when loving one another isn't easy
  • Have the tough conversations: religion, kids, where to live, in-law conflicts, etc.
  • Prepare for the unexpected "big ones": family death, miscarriages, lay-offs, etc.
  • Create a budget and discuss your financial plan
  • Talk sex and intimacy: may the fire forever burn!

... And whatever else we decide is important for you and your relationship ...

Engagements can be fun and exciting, planning the wedding can be overwhelming and stressful, and after you get married, there is life. Work, bills, kids, stress, responsibilities, toothpaste in the sink, socks on the floor, and unfulfilled desires. It is after the wedding that being married happens and being together can become more challenging. Maybe right now you can't imagine what that could possibly be like but it is true, it happens, but there are ways to be prepared and, at Your Peaceful Solutions, we are ready to help you prepare!

Contact us now or go to the client portal to schedule your appointment, today.

Thinking ahead:
While you were dating, you may have talked about things and maybe some of those conversations were very serious and strategic. Did you discuss loyalty, kids, and finances? Did you discuss HOW you will accomplish this? Did you discuss what it may look like when you are having difficulty liking one another? Did you consider that the day might come where love isn't as easy for you as it is today?
